It is one of the biggest event for me in this year! I have several significant shows and a lot of event in 2016, and I think it is a kind of climax event. This is the last half part of one-show and first half part was held already in Japan, last year. I leave my house 3 weeks ago to participate a group show in Wichita Falls, Texas. In addition, I had the plan to see some national parks and to go to Marfa, Texas. So I went to L.A. first and then drove to Texas with another 2 artists. We went to the beach of Santa Monica, and some galleries, museums. We spend few days and met some friends in L.A. and left there.
We saw super super big full moon at Joshua Tree National Park, strange funny big rocks at Sedona, oldest American house at Santa Fe, and arrived at Wichita Falls, Texas. Unfortunately, the special moon was not be able to catch with my iphone, but that was so impressive!! (One of my friend gave me the moon picture!)
At Wichita Falls, almost all of Japanese artists stayed at the American artists house. They also participate the group show "3rd. crosscurrent." I installed my artworks with found objects which is founded at the backyard of the museum. The process was fun for me. These objects are important to combine my piece and the place.
At the opening night, one of the artist invited us to his house. We spend fun time, we saw his collection which include Mexican art, old radio, etc.. After opened our exhibition, we went Wichita mountain hiking, Butterfly park, and watched the town festival! They provided best hospitality for us!! I thank them very much.
