I have solo show from April 15th to May 21th. I have made my works to this show for these 4 months. I made 3 big pieces, 2 small works and nearly 10 mushrooms.
It was first time for me to make parts separately, so I felt that I worked a lot, more than last solo show at same place. In addition, the size of my works are bigger than before. A good point of making the parts separately is easier to make variation. For instance, I can make similar but different shape with using same body that attached different parts.
After translate from negative mold to positive one, it began to start a kind of hard training!!
I was thrown into the loop of polishing, sanding and putting putty. But surface of the parts gradually became smooth.
Next step is my favorite part, color! I make basement color, and layered other color on it. I used matting type color and gross type color mixed in one piece at this time.
Finally, I was able to install at the gallery and start the exhibition!
The gallery made an interview leaflet for this exhibition, I want to introduce about it in next blog.
I hope a lot of people enjoy this show!
Thank you for your time to read until the end.
